App: Owl Debt Focus
Effective Date: February 4, 2026
Last Updated: February 4, 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to Owl Debt Focus (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we use and share it. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your information responsibly.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you enter in the app

2.2 AI check-in / report inputs

If you choose to generate an AI check-in/report, the app will send certain information (such as your debt summary, upcoming payments, income/expense settings, and related context) to our servers in order to generate the report.

2.3 Calendar-related information (optional)

If you choose to add your payment plan to your device calendar, we will request access to your Calendar. We may create, update, and remove calendar events related to your payments (for example, event title, due date, and amount in notes). To keep those events accurate, we may look up the events we created (including by searching around relevant dates).

2.4 Photos/Camera information for OCR (optional)

If you choose to use the scanning feature to capture amounts from a bill/statement, you may select a photo or take a new photo. The app processes the image to recognize numbers and fill in amounts.

We do not require you to upload photos to use the app. If your device supports it, text recognition can be performed on-device.

2.5 Device and app information

2.6 Advertising and attribution data

If the app displays ads, advertising partners may collect information to provide and measure ads (for example, ad impressions, clicks, approximate location derived from IP address, and device identifiers). Where required, iOS will ask for your permission before allowing “tracking” across apps and websites.

2.7 Account information

Important: Owl Debt Focus does not require you to create an in-app account to use core features. We do not ask for your name, email address, or password for normal use of the app. If you contact support, you may choose to share contact details and messages with us.

3. How We Use Your Information

4. App Permissions (Calendar, Photos/Camera, Tracking)

4.1 Calendar permission

The app may request Calendar access only if you choose to add payment reminders/events. If you deny permission, you can still use the app without calendar integration.

4.2 Photos/Camera permission

The app may request Photo Library or Camera access only if you choose to scan amounts from a statement/bill. If you deny permission, you can still enter amounts manually.

4.3 Tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency)

If the app uses advertising that may involve “tracking” as defined by Apple, iOS will show a system prompt asking for your permission. If you do not allow tracking, you may still see ads, but they may be less personalized.
